Please join me and my fellow artists at the East Coast Art Collective for our first charity sale, Give Love February, benefiting Tracy's Kids. The sale will take place on February 6th at 9am on our instagram feed here. Fifty percent of all proceeds will benefit Tracy's kids, a non-profit that uses art therapy to engage with young cancer patients, their siblings, and parents so that they can express feelings and reflect on their treatment experiences. The program is offered at no cost to the families. This cause is very special to me as my four-year-old brother Joey was diagnosed with cancer in 1991, the year that Tracy's Kids was founded. We lost Joey the following year, a time when art therapy wasn't as widely available for siblings. I'm thankful for Tracy's Kids and the work they are doing to help families like mine, and I'm hopeful that our group will be able to provide funding and visibility for their wonderful work.
